Organosilane triols

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Methylsilanetriol , a representative of the silanetriols

Organosilanetriols are organic silicon compounds in which, in addition to three hydroxyl groups, at least one organyl radical is bonded to the silicon atom. It is a subgroup of the organosilanols .

presentation

Organosilanetriols can be obtained by hydrolysis of appropriate halogen compounds RSiCl 3 .

Properties and use

Organosilanetriols have amphiphilic properties and can be used for surface modification. Stable organosilanetriols also have surfactant properties .
