Orient and Occident (1929–1934)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Orient und Occident was a magazine on religious-philosophical topics that appeared between 1929 and 1934.

The basic idea of the magazine was to create a common forum for German and Russian authors. This was made possible because Nikolai Berdjajew could be won by Paul Schütz as an employee of the magazine. Up to No. 15 it was published jointly by Schütz and the Basel theologian Fritz Lieb . From June 1934, issue No. 15, Lieb was the sole editor.
