The Oriental Rosstirn is a protective weapon and a part of the Ross the harness .

description

The oriental horse forehead is usually made of steel . It is made in three parts and consists of a middle part and two side flaps. The middle part is adapted to the top of the horse's head and beveled on the sides in the lower area. The upper part, which covers the horse's forehead, is worked with a vertical plate that forms the upper end of the horse's forehead. Around the eyes, the forehead is Ross upwards driven around the eyes to offer enough space. The side flaps are attached to the middle section with chain mesh . The side flaps are made semicircular and also have a cutout for the eyes, which ensure that the horse's field of vision is not restricted. Other versions of this horse's forehead consist of 6 individual parts, which are connected to each other with chain mesh. In the 14th century , the European horse forehead was often modeled on the oriental horse forehead.
