Orientation ability

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Orientation is the ability to determine and change the position and movement of the body in space and time in relation to a defined field of action ( playing field , gymnastics equipment ) and / or a moving object ( ball , playing partner, etc.).

The degree of orientation ability is described by speed , correctness, accuracy of orientation in connection with the accuracy of the execution of a movement / movement task.

When measuring or recording the ability to orientate, movements should be selected that are characterized by the information acquisition and information processing of optical-spatial signals. This is made possible by the use of space-time-oriented control of a whole-body movement in accordance with the recording and processing ( perception ) of one's own and other movements.
