Oros is a village in the Indian state of Maharashtra . Oros is located on the west coast of India and borders the Arabian Sea .
Oros is the administrative seat of the Sindhudurg district . It had 5,311 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census, of which 2,685 were men and 2,626 women. The literacy rate in 2011 was 92.13%, well above the national average. Children under 6 years of age were 9.3% of the population. Most of the residents speak the Konkani language .
