The Orquesta de la Luz (オ ル ケ ス タ ・ デ ・ ラ ・ ル ス) is a salsa orchestra from Japan .

Career

The Orquesta de la Luz was founded in the 1990s and sings in Spanish. It became known through performances in Puerto Rico , Panama , Colombia , Mexico , Dominican Republic , Peru , Venezuela and numerous other countries in the Caribbean . The group recorded a total of ten albums and became known worldwide with the song "Salsa caliente del Japón". The group later experimented with stylistic elements of ballad and jazz, but no longer had the same success as with salsa. The group split in 1999 and singer Nora began a solo career.
