Orthodox Cathedral (Shkodra)
The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Lord ( Albanian Katedralja e Lindjes së Zotit ) in the northern Albanian district town of Shkodra belongs to the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania .
The town's Orthodox church building, completed in 2000, stands in Rruga Hasan Riza Pasha on the site of a wooden church building that used to be there, which was damaged by an explosive attack in mid-August 1998. Today's stone building consists of a large nave with several domes and a separate tower. The area is completely fenced for security reasons.
