Local class

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Austria , the term local class is a term from tourism law . It represents a classification as a tourist municipality based on the intensity of overnight stays .

term

According to the tourism laws in the individual federal states , each municipality is assigned a local class by the state government in the local class ordinance.

The location classes, the calculation of which is not uniform, is based on the number of overnight stays, sales or specific tourist facilities. In return, this classification has the effect that appropriate tourism commissions or tourism associations can or must be set up in the municipalities. Associated with this classification are also various overnight or visitor taxes .
