Osman Nuri Topbaş

Osman Nuri Topbaş (* 1942 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish Sufi master of the Naqschbandi order and author.

Life

Osman Nuri Topbaş was born in 1942 as the son of Musa Topbaş and his wife Fatma Feride Hanim, the daughter of H. Fahri Kigili, in the Erenköy district of Istanbul. He is married and has four children.

After graduating from the Zihni Paşa elementary school in Erenköy, he attended the Istanbul Imam Hatip High School from 1953 , where teachers such as M. Celaleddin Ökten, Mahir İz and Nureddin Topçu taught. He studied under the guidance of M. Zekai Konrapa, Yaman Dede (Abdülkadir Keceoğlu), Ahmet Davutoğlu, Mahmud Bayram and Ali Rızā Sağman and made the acquaintance of Necip Fazıl Kısaküreks , whose circle of friends he joined. He attended his lectures, read his magazine Büyük Doğu and became an enthusiastic supporter of his ideas.

After graduating from high school, he worked in trade and production for some time until he was called up for military service in 1962, which he completed in Tillo near Siirt as a teacher for reserve officers. After completing his military service, Osman Nuri Topbaş returned to trading. He was an active member of the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti (Society for the Dissemination of Knowledge). At the same time he was responsible for the social services run by his family. He continued his charitable activities under the umbrella of the Hüdāyi Foundation, founded in 1985. He was not only a driving force behind its establishment, but also campaigned to broaden its horizons and expand the foundation's services beyond Turkey and Africa.

Publications

Osman Nuri Topbaş began writing himself in 1990, and his works have since been translated into a large number of languages. Works published by Osman Nuri Topbaş are available in 43 different languages.
