Osmina

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Osmina , also Osmin ( Russian осьмина, from Russian wosjem = eight), was a Russian measure of volume. It was primarily used as a measure for grain and for other dry goods. The Osmina was the big eighth of the bin, the Berzka, and had 32 Garnetz (Garnitz).

The dimensional chain was

  • 1 Berzka = 4 quarters = 8 Osmina = 16 Szestnastki
  • 1 Tschetwert / large grain Quarter = 2 Osmina = 4 Pajock / Poluosmina / half Osmina / large half eighth = 8 Tschetwerik / small neighborhood = 16 Polutschetwerik / half Tschetwerik / small eighth = 32 Tschetwerka / quart / small half eighth = 64 Garnitz ( Garnetz ) / Garnitzen / Maaß = 1920 Tchast / mug
  • 1 Osmina = 4 Tschetwerik = 32 Garnitz = 104.954 liters
