The KWG Kommunale Wohnen GmbH (formerly KWG Kommunale Wohnen AG ) is a real estate company based in Berlin . history
It was founded in 2005 through a merger of investors who acquired the listed shell of Carthago Biotech AG. At the first general meeting in March 2006, a decision was made to change the business model and to rename the company. After the entry in the commercial register was initially in the city of Bremerhaven , the company's headquarters have been in Berlin since July 24, 2014 . After starting operations, KWG acquired its first property at the end of 2006.
KWG was listed until May 2017, at times in the Frankfurt Entry Standard segment . A majority of over 75% of the shares was owned by the Austrian Conwert Immobilien Invest SE .
activities
The company acquires and modernizes properties with property-related vacancies in Germany's B-locations . As a portfolio holder of residential real estate , KWG pursues the strategy of continuously increasing the value of the real estate through suitable measures. The in-house asset and construction management with renovation and refurbishment measures contribute to this.
