history

The office building was built in 1956/57 by Bernhard Hermkes for the administration of Osram GmbH under the building owner of the Pepper group of companies. The building once housed the light museum , in which the development history of the electric light bulb was documented. The Eternit headquarters later moved into the building. In the 1970s to 1990s the building was used by the computer scientists at the TU. In 2006/2007 the building was completely renovated . The scope of the renovation ranged from a structural and shell renovation, a facade renewal and the creation of contemporary fire protection , to the installation of technical systems and the interior of the building for the tenants. From 2009 to 2017, the Teles Group , which is characterized by the large advertising letters on the roof, was based here.

description

The building is connected to the north by a single-storey connecting arm with a two-storey building in the same architectural style. The facade of the 9-storey building is characterized by its grid facade in the colors red and white. The facade is crossed by reinforced concrete columns with small-format travertine slabs , which create a covered area on the south side of the building. There are also parking spaces on the west and east sides of the building.
