Osel

The Osel family comes from a very old, noble bourgeois family, which formerly had its headquarters in the Silesian Jauer principality . Osel is probably with the family "Baruth, Anlock" of a tribe, according to the coat of arms, and they were wealthy in the principality of Oels . The sexes are documented as early as 1292.

The sex used to be spelled “Assel”, “Ossel” and finally “Osel”. The "Ossel" shape was already in use in the 13th century. The original coat of arms shows an ox in the shield.
