Osservatorio Astronomico di Suno

The Osservatorio Astronomico "Galileo Galilei" di Suno is a club and public observatory in the Motto Zufolone part of the municipality in Suno , Province of Novara , with the IAU code 147.

It was built by the Associazione provinciale astrofili novaresi (APAN) to promote amateur astronomy and went into operation in 1985.

Instruments

A Newtonian telescope with a mirror diameter of 400 mm and a focal length of 2200 mm serves as the main telescope . The guide telescope is a Newtonian telescope with a mirror diameter of 200 mm and a focal length of 1800 mm. A refractor with a lens diameter of 120 mm serves as the viewfinder . All three telescopes are mounted under a movable dome on an equatorial mount . A Starlight Xpress SXV-9H CCD camera is used for recordings .
