The Osterquelle , also called Marienquelle , is located east of Alt-Lübars in the Reinickendorf district on Schildower Weg in the Flachmoorwiesen. The last free-bubbling spring in Berlin delivers seven liters of water per second with an average temperature of 9 ° C at a layer boundary between clay and gravel.

The source was already mentioned in a chronicle from 1751, the historical descriptions of the Chur and Mark Brandenburg .
