Eastern Madagascar Current

The East Madagascar Current is a warm ocean current in the Indian Ocean .

It is the western part of the south equatorial current and flows southwards along the east coast of Madagascar starting at around 20 ° S. It unites with the Mozambique Current to form the Agulhas Current . It is also the source of an ocean current recently discovered with the help of satellites from the southern tip of Madagascar eastwards to Australia at around 25 ° S.
