Ousman Njie stood in the 2012 parliamentary elections as a candidate for the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) in the Sami constituency in the Janjanbureh Administrative Area . Since there was no opposing candidate from the opposition, he was able to win the constituency for himself. Njie did not run as a candidate for the 2017 parliamentary elections .
