The Owikeno Lake is a lake in the western Canadian province of British Columbia . The lake was named after the local Wuikinuxv Nation (Owikeno).

Owikeno Lake is a glacier-shaped fjord lake on the central west coast of British Columbia. It is located at an altitude of 15  m in the Coast Mountains . The 56 km long lake is formed from a chain of four partial lakes, which are separated from each other by narrow passages. The total water area is 94.5 km². The lowest part of the lake (basin 4) is the largest. It is 33 km long, has an area of 68 km² and a maximum water depth of 370 m. The adjoining partial lake (basin 3) is 18.9 km² in size. The two upper partial lakes (basins 1 and 2) only make up 8 percent of the total water area. Several glacier-fed tributaries flow into Owikeno Lake. The two rivers Inziana River and Tzeo River flow into the uppermost partial lake (basin 1). The Sheemahant River flows into basin 3. The Machmell River forms a larger inflow of the lowest part of the lake (basin 4). Owikeno Lake is drained at the western end of Basin 4 from the 6 km long Wannock River to Rivers Inlet , a fjord . At the outflow of the lake, the mean discharge is 321 m³ / s. The closest settlement is Oweekeno on the north bank of the Wannock River.

The lake is located in the biogeoclimatic zone of the Western American hemlock . The water is considered to be oligotrophic . The sockeye salmon ( Oncorhynchus nerka ) and the three-spined stickleback ( Gasterosteus aculeatus ) are found in the lake, along with other fish species .
