Pétanque World Championship 2006
The 42nd Pétanque World Championship (Seniors) XXXXII Championnat du Monde de Pétanque and the 10th Women's Pétanque World Championship X Championnat du Monde de Pétanque, Féminines took place in the French city of Grenoble from September 20 to 24, 2006 .
The World Championships for Seniors in boules are held every year, and for women every two years by the Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal (FIPJP).
The men's team of the German Pétanque Association sensationally reached the quarter-finals.
