Pēdējā partija ( PP ; German  last party ) is a Latvian party . She is currently not represented in the Saeima , the Latvian parliament.

history

The Pēdējā partija was founded on July 8, 2010 in the Riga night club "Nabaklab" . At their first meeting, sustainable development of the country, the promotion of democracy , the strengthening of child health care, and cultural, scientific and educational development were named as goals. On July 27, the party was entered in the register of political parties, and on August 2, it submitted its list of candidates for the elections to the 10th Saeima that year.

With only 0.88% of the vote, Pēdējā partija clearly failed at the 5% hurdle and could not move into the Saeima.

On June 15, 2011, Pēdējā partija excluded one of its founding members, Ansis Ataols Bērziņš. The reasons given were irreconcilable opposites, the aggressive political style of Bērziņš 'was incompatible with the goals of the party.

Also in the elections for the 11th Saeima, the Pēdējā partija ran unsuccessfully.

aims

For the elections to the 10th Saeima Pēdējā partija submitted a party manifesto . It demanded that the health of children must be protected despite the necessary budget cuts. The budgets for health care, education, science and culture, as well as pensions must remain untouched. It called for measures to increase the birth rate and the creation of incentives such as tax breaks and grants to encourage emigrants to return. Pēdējā partija was directed against all forms of discrimination. The success of political action should not be measured by financial indicators alone, but must follow a "happiness index". The party program called for a ban on political advertising, the introduction of a progressive tax, an increase in the basic tax-free amount and a reduction in tax rates on low wages. For future elections from the 11th elections to the Saeima, the option to be able to vote electronically via the Internet should be introduced.
