The PEG Purchasing and Operational Cooperative eG is a purchasing cooperative for providers / facilities of health and social care companies of any type or legal form. Its 625 shareholders operate around 3,300 facilities, including acute and rehabilitation clinics as well as senior and care facilities. As a cooperative, it advises members with a broad portfolio of services, arranges shopping opportunities and services, conducts procurement marketing and offers training opportunities.
history
The foundation was in 1970 in Rottach-Egern, one year later the first branch was opened in Munich. In 1977 PEG moved into its own office building in Munich-Harlaching. In 1999 PEG Servicegesellschaft mbH was founded as a wholly owned subsidiary of PEG. In 2009 the PEG - DIE AKADEMIE was founded, which offers further education and seminars for professions in the health care sector. The PEG is a founding member of the Federal Association for Procurement Institutions in the Healthcare Industry Germany eV .

Members
Members of the PEG are hospitals , rehabilitation clinics and geriatric facilities. As of March 31, 2019, around 3,300 facilities with more than 314,000 beds were registered as members of the cooperative in Germany and Austria.
