PFITA metamodel

PFITA (short for "Process, Function, Information, Technology, Applications" or English "Process, Function, Information, Technology, Application") is a 5-layer model for the holistic description, analysis and design of business processes including the associated information , Applications and infrastructure . In principle, the model is an expanded form of the quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000 .

PFITA provides a framework that considers framework conditions and all the necessary information, suggests forms of documentation and uses different analysis methods in order to design holistic, sustainable and entrepreneurially efficient and effective business processes.

An essential element is the feasibility of the PFITA concept. This is ensured in the form of a rough implementation plan, assessed risks and potential, implementation and ongoing costs and strategic criteria.

philosophy

The philosophy of the 5-view model is to take a holistic view of a business or entrepreneurial problem.

This holistic approach ensures that, on the one hand, significant technical improvements lead to process improvements and changes in business processes also lead to structured changes in supporting services (e.g. IT applications).

history

PFITA is based on different approaches and methods of process orientation, optimization and modeling.

PFITA was commissioned by Audi AG for the first time in 2001 . The introduction to the entire Volkswagen group began in 2005 .
