The PHP Magazine is a computer magazine with a focus on PHP . The issues appear every two months with a print run of 6,000 copies (as of the 2nd quarter of 2015). The publisher is the Software & Support Media group.

Originally, the range of topics was covered by another magazine from the publishing company. From 2001 a separate magazine was published. The PHP Magazine focuses on PHP and other web-related topics, such as web design or the use of technologies such as Ajax . The topic is presented from a developer and less from a designer perspective, which distinguishes PHP Magazine from other publications on the Internet.

Due to the good sales development, the publishing house also decided in 2001 to expand the topic with its own conference. This resulted in the International PHP Conference.

The concept of the PHP magazine is accompanied by an extensive online presence, which is intended to highlight the individual facets of the print edition, such as current news, book reviews or accompanying specialist articles. The affiliated web forum serves on the one hand as an interface between the individual publications of the publisher and as a research source, via which developers can access code examples and specific information on individual subject areas or exchange ideas.
