The PKE Energy Pension Fund , based in Zurich, is a Swiss pension fund . It insures the staff of its affiliated companies with mandatory and extra-mandatory benefits under the defined contribution scheme as part of the 2nd pillar . The aforementioned foundation was created in 2000 to complement the PKE Energy Pension Fund, which was founded in 1922 . As of the end of 2019, a total of 211 companies, mainly from the energy industry , with around 16,400 active insurers and around 8,900 retirees were affiliated. The assets under management amounted to 10.6 billion Swiss francs .

Collective foundation

These individual pension funds have their own coverage ratio and are managed separately from the companies that have bought in full.
