The PKP Polish Railway Lines JSC SA (PKP PLK) is a Polish railway infrastructure company based in Warsaw district of Praga .
PKP PLK is part of the PKP Group and manages the majority of the Polish railway network and site. She also coordinates maintenance, modernization and new construction projects for the railway network and takes on the preparation of timetables. The company came into being in 2001 after PKP was broken down into several subsidiaries, each of which covered a specific area of activity and thus also met standards of the European Union .
One of the goals of the PKP PLK is the integration into the European rail network and the associated implementation of European technical standards for international, interoperable rail transport . It should also increase travel comfort and security on the infrastructure side and minimize travel times.
The majority of the company is owned by the Polish Ministry of Finance (64.02%), the remaining 35.98% is held by PKP. The share capital of the corporation is 13,043,747,000.00 zlotys .
