The PMeV promotes standards and the harmonization of applications. He is the ideal sponsor of the PMRExpo trade fair.

The PMeV cooperates with the international associations TCCA (TETRA and Critical Communications Association) and DMR Association. On a technical level, the PMeV cooperates with the Bundesverband für Objektfunk Deutschland e. V. Mutual membership exists with the Fachverband Leitstellen e. V.

subjects

The work of the association is divided into seven departments (FB):

  • FB broadband
The broadband department deals with the future of professional mobile communications. To meet the future needs of different users, e.g. B. in relation to frequency resources, the PMeV conducts the dialogue with these users in the broadband department and formulates this in the direction of the relevant public institutions.
  • FB terminals
The Terminal Equipment department is the link between German users and the global standardization bodies. It "translates" the German requirements for terminal equipment so that they can be taken into account during standardization. In addition, the terminal equipment department supports the development of regulations for the introduction of terminal equipment into the BOS digital radio network by representatives of the German BOS, e.g. B. with the BDBOS (Federal Agency for Digital Radio of Authorities and Organizations with Security Tasks) .
  • FB frequencies
The Frequencies department works closely with the relevant departments of the Federal Network Agency (Federal Network Agency for Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Post and Railways) with regard to the availability of frequency resources and the licensing framework for the use of professional radio solutions .
  • FB control centers
The control center department deals with all issues relating to the control center. A particular focus of the work of the control center department is the integration of control center systems into the digital radio system of the German BOS and the standardization of the corresponding interfaces.
  • FB object supply
The property supply department deals with all issues relating to the supply of buildings, tunnels and other special structures for which special supplies are required. To ensure high quality in the implementation of property supply projects, the PMeV, together with the Federal Association of Object Radio in Germany (BODeV), has developed a seal of quality that is awarded by both associations to planners, installers and service providers in the field of property supply
  • Department of Public Relations
The public relations department represents the interface of the PMeV to the interested public. Important focal points of the work of the public relations department are the preparation and publication of various publications as well as the implementation of events.
  • FB technology
The technology department provides information about professional mobile radio technologies and supports users in deciding on their communication system.

PMRExpo

The PMRExpo is one of the most important and largest international events for professional mobile radio and control centers. In addition to the three-day trade fair, visitors to PMRExpo have the opportunity to find out more about innovations, new features and proven products relating to professional communication solutions from the varied program of events. The focus is on the areas of critical infrastructures, public safety and networked security. A large number of national and international exhibitors present themselves every year at PMRExpo. Thus, the fair is the ideal platform to bring manufacturers and service providers around professional radio technology together with users.

November
24-26 , 2020, Cologne PMRExpo will take place for the 20th time in 2020. The venue is the Koelnmesse. In 2020, the leading European trade fair for secure communication will again offer you an interactive program on new trends, current innovations and high-quality contacts.
