PSM Entesa Nacionalista

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PSM-Entesa Nacionalista , PSM-EN for short , is an alliance of left-wing regional parties on the Balearic Islands .

Member parties of the alliance are now on Mallorca , the PSM-Nationalist Agreement de Mallorca and the two city parties Unió Independents d'Artà and Independents de Puigpunyent i Galilea , on Menorca the Partit Socialista de Menorca Entesa Nacionalista and Ibiza the Entesa Nacionalista i Ecologista-Esquerra Nacionalista d'Eivissa .

The Partit Socialista de Mallorca and the Partit Socialista de Menorca were founded in 1977 during the transición . The Entesa Nacionalista i Ecologista d'Eivissa was founded in Ibiza in 1989 . In the same year, these three parties merged to form the Federació de l'Esquerra Nacionalista de les Illes Balears (FENIB), which was finally renamed PSM-Entesa Nacionalista in 1998 . In 2000 the Unió d'Independents d'Artà and in 2003 the Independents de Puigpunyent i Galilea joined the PSM-EN.

The member parties of the PSM-EN have run in all elections to the Cortes Generales and the regional parliament of the Balearic Islands since the end of the Franco dictatorship , sometimes in electoral alliances with other parties predominantly from the left, Pan-Catalan and green spectrum. The candidacy for the elections to the House of Representatives was always limited to the constituency of the Balearic Islands, but parliamentary representation could never be achieved in these elections. In the regional parliament, on the other hand, the member parties of the PSM-EN are continuously represented from the start.
