Paciano master
A Gothic painter and illuminator who worked in Italy from around 1315 is referred to as the Master of Paciano or Paciano Master ( Italian: Maestro di Paciano) . The artist, who is not known by name, was given his emergency name after the picture found in the Franciscan monastery Convento di Sant'Antonio di Padova in Paciano Vecchio near Perugia . This was moved to the National Gallery of Umbria in 1872. Since the monastery only existed since 1496, Paciano is certainly not the original place of origin of the picture.
