The Pacific Point is a rounded Cape on the north west coast of Zavodovski Iceland in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands .
British Discovery Investigations scientists who surveyed the area in 1930 named it Low Point . The current name goes back to a recommendation by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1953. It is named after the schooner Pacific , with which Captain James Brown landed not far from the cape on Zavodovski Island in 1830.
