Paco Camino

Paco Camino (aka Francisco Camino Sánchez ; born December 14, 1940 in Camas ) is a Spanish torero.

The son of Banderillero Rafael Camino played his Alternativa in Valencia in 1960 under the supervision of Jaime Ostos Carmona . He became one of the most successful matadors in the second half of the 20th century. He was active for twenty seasons, during which time he performed more than fifty times at Las Ventas de Madrid . Several times he also played bullfights in Latin America (including Mexico). He appeared in several documentaries and played the lead role in the 1966 feature film Fray Torero by José Luis Sáenz de Heredia . In 2005 he was awarded the Medalla de Oro de las Bellas Artes .
