Pacuvius Antistius Labeo
Pacuvius Antistius Labeo (possibly also Quintus) was a Roman jurist from the Gens of the Antistier . He was a student of Servius Sulpicius Rufus . Brutus managed to get him 44 BC. Win for the assassination attempt on Caesar . 42 BC He was a legate in the army of the Caesar murderers. After their defeat by Mark Antony and Octavian in the Battle of Philippi , he did not want to live any longer than Brutus, who, as he was told, had called his name with a sigh in death. So he dug a grave in his tent and let himself be killed by a slave who buried him in his tent.
His son Marcus Antistius Labeo († 10/11 AD) was a well-known Roman lawyer.
