history

In 2018 the singer and programmer Jenny Josefine Schulz founded a band to make humorous party music within the core genre. The line-up was Max Schulze on bass, Christopher Schlüting on guitar and Noel Sommerkamp on drums. Her debut album Welcome to the Party was recorded in the Pitchback Studios by David Beule and mixed and mastered by Aljoscha Sieg . The album was released on Dedication Records / Hopeless World Records on August 30, 2019. With this album, the band was on a small tour of Germany in winter 2019/2020.

style

Painkiller Party do Electronicore , i.e. Metalcore with electronic influences, which in the case of Painkiller Party show themselves in the form of naive, childlike, playful synthesizer melodies and samples . In contrast to this are the very deep, deathcore growls of singer Josefine Schulz as well as the breakdowns typical of the genre and the hard, fast guitar and drums playing. The lack of conventional harmonies, which, like the self-irony of their lyrics, is a stylistic feature of the music of Painkiller Party, has been addressed by various specialist magazines. The band itself also describes their style as party core or porn core. In addition to her stage performance, the porn aspect comes to bear mainly through her texts, which depict explicit sexual acts. This led u. a. to block their music videos on different platforms.
