Pala (unit)

Pala was a measure of the volume of grain and oil in Ceylon . The Hundua was the so-called basic measure.

The dimensional chain was

  • 1 Amomam / Amonam = 4 Palas = 40 Lochoo lahas = 80 Punchy lahas = 240 Nelleas = 480 Hunduas (handful) ≈ 203.4 liters
