The Palacio Uriarte de Heber is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .

The building, also known as Palacio Heber , erected between 1896 and 1897 is located in Barrio Centro on Avenida 18 de Julio 998–1000, corner of Julio Herrera y Obes . The architect Alfredo Massüe was responsible for the building commissioned by Alberto Heber Jackson . The Peirano Vignale family acquired the building in the 1930s. In the early 1980s it became the property of the Banco de la República. In the 1990s, restoration work took place under the direction of the architect Julio Espasandín , other employees and the architectural office of the Banco de la República Oriental del Uruguay . The building, which was originally designed as a residential and commercial building, now houses a bank and the Museo del Gaucho y la Moneda . The building is assigned to historical eclecticism .

Since 1995, the Palacio Uriarte de Heber has been classified as a Bien de Interés Municipal .
