Panic Disorder Severity Scale

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Panic Disorder Severity Scale ( PDSS ) is a questionnaire used to determine the severity of panic through external observation. The questionnaire is from Shear et al. From 1997. It consists of 7 questions. At least in English there is a version for self- assessment ( PDSS-SR ). The answers can be coded with values from 0 to 4. Overall values between 0 and 28 can therefore be achieved, with the authors suggesting values from 8 as limit values for a clinically relevant disorder for the English-language version. The processing time is estimated at 15 minutes. The test is recommended in the S3 guideline for anxiety disorders .
