Panilla

Panilla or Cuarteron was a Spanish measure of the volume of oil . The measure was one of the smaller in the oil arroba's dimensional chain . The measure actually belongs to the unit of mass, because it was a quarter of the Castilian pound and was equated with this as a measure of volume.

The dimensional chain was

  • 1 oil arroba / arroba menor = 25 libras = 100 panillas / cuarterones = 400 onzas / ounces = 12.564 liters
