The Panje horse ( Panje = master derived from pan = master ) was mainly used in agriculture in Eastern Europe and was characterized by toughness and unpretentiousness. Uniform breeding guidelines never existed. Panje horses emerged from all sorts of haphazard crossings - even Arab blood is represented; the term Panjepferd can be seen as a collective rather than a breed name. The Konik can be seen as the ancestral form of the Panjepferde.

Exterior

The small to medium-sized Panjepferd is a land plot based on primitive horses related to the Konik. There is no uniform exterior. However, the horses are rather light and wiry, as a frugal, hard horse was desired. They are available in all house horse colors, including white markings.

interior

Panje horses are persistent, fertile, frugal and willing to perform. Because of these characteristics, the animals were used millions of times in World War I or World War II (see also Wehrmacht horses ).
