The Pansarvärnskanonvagn m / 43 (Pvkv m / 43) was a Swedish tank destroyer from the 1940s.

history

Since the use of tanks became more and more important in the course of the Second World War , fighting them became more and more urgent. The German Wehrmacht had success with the assault guns III and IV in this area. So it made sense for the Swedish army to create a similar vehicle. The Stridsvagn m / 42 served as the basis , which was provided with a turretless, closed structure in which a 75 mm flak was embedded. Of this vehicle, 87 pieces were ordered from AB Landsverk in 1942 and delivered from 1946 to 1948. In the years 1963–1964, the vehicles received other engines with which they remained in service until 1970. Their cannons were also used for coastal defense until 1995.
