Honschaft Rützkausen
The Honschaft Rützkausen was from the Middle Ages into the 19th century to one of 14 Honschaften in district court Homberg the Office Angermund the Duchy of Berg .
In the course of administrative reform within the Grand Duchy of Berg in 1808 was mayor Wülfrath formed and the Honschaft formed in the 19th century then one of the lower administrative units in rural outskirts of Bergisch mayoralty in the district Elberfeld the administrative district of Dusseldorf within the Prussian Rhine Province .

Today Rützkausen is one of the five municipalities of Wülfrath. In 1975, the Düsseldorf law brought part of the Rützkausen district to the city of Velbert .
