Gerhard Butke

Gerhard Butke (* 1952 in Wengsel , Grafschaft Bentheim district ) is a German writer and poet.

Butke has an engineering degree in agricultural machinery and works as a teacher at the Nordhorn-Süd secondary school. His literary work includes poetry, prose and plays, including many works in Low German. He publishes monographically, but also in newspapers, anthologies and yearbooks. Butke is a member of the Free German Authors Association , the Schrieverkring Weser-Ems, the Bevensen Conference and the Society for Contemporary Poetry .

He is married and has 3 children.
