Pantipampa of Iruya seen from
Pantipampa or Panti Pampa is the name of a plateau in the department of Iruya in the province of Salta in northwest Argentina . It is located 4 km north of the village of Iruya and 2 km east of the village of San Isidro , from where it can be reached via a steep footpath.
There are two huts on the plateau; In summer, local shepherds make cheese here.
The part of the name Pampa comes from Quechua and means area or plain .
