Paper rocket

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A paper rocket is a special form of solid fuel rocket in which rolled up paper soaked with an oxidizing agent ( sodium nitrate , sodium chlorate ) serves as fuel. The paper rocket was introduced by Nikolaus and Viktor Brantl at the end of the 1960s, who won with it at Jugend forscht in 1969 . Due to technical problems with larger versions, or their low level of efficiency with small models, this type of rocket has not gained any major importance until today.
