The Papyrus Cologne VI 255 is a papyrus fragment from an apocryphal gospel . It has been in the papyrus collection of the University of Cologne since the 1950s under the signature P.Köln VI 255 . The papyrus has a format of 6.3 × 3.2 cm. In 1987 Michael Gronewald recognized that the fragment was part of the same manuscript as Papyrus Egerton 2 and was a perfect fit with the first fragment of the Egerton papyrus: Verso of P. Köln VI 255 continues the text of the Egerton fragment immediately. By combining the two fragments, the reconstruction, understanding and translation of Papyrus Egerton 2 could be improved.

The first edition was made by Gronewald, who puts the fragment around AD 200, while Porter believes it could be dated a little earlier, around 180 to 190.
