Formatio reticularis pontis paramediana

The Formatio reticularis pontis paramediana (after the English name paramedian pontine reticular formation also paramedian pontine reticular formation , PPRF ) is part of the Formatio reticularis of the pons ("bridge"), a part of the brain stem . The region contains the pontine gaze center and is used to control horizontal eye movements .

Diseases

Damage to the PPRF causes horizontal paralysis .
