The Parc de Gerland (also Park of the Confluence ) is an extensive green area in the south of Lyon on a former industrial site.,

particularities

The facility was planned in 1996 and comprises 80 hectares dedicated to recreation, sporting activities and the discovery of the flora. The landscape architect Michel Corajoud was commissioned with the first two construction phases (2000 and 2006) . The building supervision lay with the Communauté urbaine de Lyon .

Park Gerland has two areas of 10 and 2 hectares, a series of playgrounds and separate areas, a skate park and a botanical garden called " Megaphorbiaie ".

Since the Gerland stadium is next door, the finals of the archery championship were held in this park in 2007 and 2012.
