Pareco
The Pareco ( Patriotes résistants congolais - Congo patriots in the resistance ) is a Congolese Hutu militia. It is mainly recruited from the Congolese and members of the Hutu who fled across the border after the genocide in neighboring Rwanda . The members of the Pareco are active in the mining and trading of ores (for example in Nyabibwe ), including cassiterite and coltan ; Furthermore, they finance themselves through extortion, illegal taxes and arms lending, although they are now officially integrated into the regular army.
