The Paritätische Akademie Berlin gGmbH is an advanced and advanced training facility of the "Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband Berlin". Since 2014, in cooperation with Danube University Krems, the Master of Science (MSc) course: Management of social facilities with a focus on child and youth facilities has been added, which can be completed by experienced specialists without a high school diploma.

As part of its educational program, the academy creates offers to encourage, support and develop volunteer work. A special program for training volunteers and self-help is implemented in close coordination with the customers, based on requirements.

The Paritätische Akademie Berlin launched the network www.sinn-x.de. SINN stands for Social InterNet Netz and is intended as an internet-based communication space for those working in the social field. It is made available free of charge by the Paritätische Bundesakademie gGmbH across all associations in order to provide a platform for communication in the social area on the Internet and thereby improve joint communication.

In 2006, the Berlin Volunteer Network www.ehrenamt-berlin.de emerged from an initiative of the Paritätische Akademie Berlin. In 2007, this was merged with the Berlin citizens' portal www.berlin.de/buergeraktiv and further developed with funds from the European Social Fund to form a joint state-wide volunteer network Bürgeraktiv Berlin .
