Parkhotel Richmond
The Parkhotel Richmond is a listed spa hotel in the Czech town of Karlovy Vary , located on the right bank of the Teplá, south of the city and spa center in Schönbrunn Park. In the hotel's own park is u. a. the life-size figure of the Karlovy Vary deer (saga of the deer jump). Today's Beethoven Park is directly adjacent to the hotel. a. a monument to Ludwig van Beethoven and the 15 ° warm Stephanie spring surrounded by a well house .
history
The former Weingruber's Café Park Schönbrunn was built in the 1850s and in 1911 was the venue for the Karlsbad collective exhibition Oskar Kokoschka , which was organized by Walter Serner . The building was renamed the Richmond Park Hotel and added in the classical style. Currently operated as a Parkhotel Richmond.
The owner of the hotel was the Jewish hotelier and owner of the Hotel Atlantik Alois Klein , who was one of the famous personalities in Karlovy Vary.
