Parliament of the Czech Republic

The Parliament of the Czech Republic (Czech Parliament České republiky ) is the legislative body of the Czech Republic and consists of two chambers , the Senate (81 senators) and the House of Representatives (200 members).

The Parliament of the independent Czech Republic was founded together with the latter on January 1, 1993 and emerged from the Czech National Council , which was dissolved when Czechoslovakia was divided. Parliament has its seat in several building complexes located close together on Prague's Lesser Town .
