The election of the Conseil National , the parliament of the Principality of Monaco , took place on February 3, 2008. The association for Monaco won despite losses.

Electoral system

Voters can either choose an electoral list or variegate candidates from multiple electoral lists . The 16 candidates with the most votes move into the Conseil National, while the remaining eight seats are allocated on the principle of proportional representation to the parties that received more than five percent of the vote .
